About Book:

           The syllabi for all disciplines in engineering have been recently keeping in pace with the rapid advances in the field of science and technology. The objective of writing this text at this venture is to fill the vacuum which exists in absence of an exclusive text book on the subject. This book ‘Kinematic of Machines’ caters to the latest syllabus of Anna University for the benefit of all the budding Mechanical Engineering students.

In writing this book, the author has constantly kept in mind the tremendous amount of ground which the student and the practising engineer of today is expected to cover. No effort has been spared to enrich the book with simple language and self-explanatory diagrams. In short, it is hoped that the book will embrace the requirements of all the mechanical engineering students, and will earn appreciation of all the fellow teachers.

Author lays no claim to the original research in preparing the book. Liberal use of the materials available in the works of eminent authors has been made. What he may claim, in all modesty, is that he has tried to fashion the vast amount of material available from primary and secondary sources into coherent body of description and analysis.

In the present edition, apart from rewriting some of the previous sections, several new sections have been added in almost all the chapters. Also previous years question papers of Anna University till dates are solved and those questions/problems are incorporated at appropriate sections of the text. I acknowledge with many thanks Mr. M.
