About Book:

           The main objective of the second edition is to further improve the understanding of linear ICs by providing additional information wherever needed.

            Chapter 2 has been thoroughly revised in this edition. DC & AC analysis of differential amplifier has been done using h-parameter as well as hybrid-π– model. The section on current mirrors has been thoroughly updated and more solved examples added. Answers to selected problems given at the end of each chapter have also been added.

            There has been a tremendous growth in recent years in the use of computers in all the educational institutions. With this in mind, PSPICE programs for various experiments given at the end of each chapter of the book have been added. The coverage of PSPICE in the book provided sufficient practice to the students. No prior knowledge of the computer software package is presumed. A brief tutorial on PSPICE given in Appendix-I will be of great help to the students in understanding PSPICE programs. Students are advised  to perform the various experiments using discrete components and later verifying the results using PSPICE programs.
