The fourth revised edition is the thoroughly revised and enlarged version of the earlier edition. All the chapters have been completely revised and updated in line with the latest specifications stipulated by the Bureau of Indian Standards. Special mention should be made of the drastic changes made in the preparation of all the drawings in conformity with IS 11669-1986.

The drawings have been made bigger for better understanding and clarity. The number of worked-out problems and exercises of almost all the chapters has been considerably increased. “Perspective Projection” have been added.

A separate chapter on “Auxiliary Projections” has been added. The recently added chapter “Building Drawing and Factory Layout” covers the topics included in the Revised Syllabus of some of the Southern Universities.

Lot of work has been put in the preparation of the book by way of ensuring the quality and utility of the book.

I am quite hopeful that the book will meet the requirements of Degree and AMIE students in full measure.
