Transmission and Distribution is a book that deals with the function of different parameters of lines used and modelling these parameters and analyze the parameters.

Chapter 1 deals with the structure of power system, sources of electric energy, and power plants.

Chapter 2 covers types of feeders and distributors, interconnectors, methods for distribution (A.C and D.C), submains and tapered mains.

Chapter 3 covers EHVAC transmission, HVDC transmission and FACT devices.

Chapter4 covers the computation of parameters of lines, inductive interference with communication lines and typical configuration.

Chapter 5 deals with design of series and shunt capacitors to compensate the voltage and corona.

Chapter 6 explains the category of lines, develop equivalent circuits for the lines used to determine the performance of the lines, power circle diagram to analyze the transmission lines.

Chapter 7 gives the types of insulators, to analyze voltage distribution in insulator string and methods to improve string efficiency and testing of Insulators.

Chapter 8 explains the construction of L. T and H.T cables, grading of cables, D.C cables, power factor and heating of cables.

Chapter9 deals with sag and tension in overhead lines/Mechanical design of transmission line between towers, Tower spotting and types of towers.

Chapter 10 deals with the types of substations (AIS, GIS), different substation layouts.

Chapter 11 deals with design of substation grounding, and neutral grounding.
