PREFACE

This book is intended to serve for the Engineering students and other professional readers to familiarize the design principles and methods of some common machine-elements and power transmitting drives which are utilized in our daily life by presenting the fundamental theories, essential formulas and tables with as much information as possible and by demonstrating the applications of these theories with illustrations and solutions of practical problems. The object of this book is to present  the subject matter in a most consise, compact and an easy manner.
