The rapid emergence of management information systems (MIS) in organisations during the past two decades has created an intense demand for well-trained, capable MIS managers to plan, organise, direct and control the powerful technology of computer-based information systems (CBIS). MIS managers are required to know the systems approach to management. coupled with the ability to participate in the design and utilisation of CBIS.
