Preface
This book is written, as per the latest syllabus of Anna University. The basic aim of this text book is to introduce the concept, terminologies, and technologies used in Communication Engineering, solved problems and two marks are also included to understand the concepts of related theory.
Contents and Organization:
Unit 1 presents introduction to Analog Communications, it includes amplitude modulation, frequency modulation and phase modulation.
Unit 2 discusses Digital Communications it covers frequency shift keying, phase shift keying, binary phase shift keying, QPSK and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation.
Unit 3 Presents Information Theory and Coding it covers source codes, line codes, & error control codes.
Unit 4 discusses Spread Spectrum and Multiple Access Techniques it covers FH spread spectrum, TDMA and CMA and source coding of speech for Wireless communications.
Unit 5 covers Satellite and Optical Communication it covers Satellite communication, Optical fiber communication and Optical communication systems.
