PREFACE

The Process Control has been rapidly developing in every field of Engineering Technology and Medicine. In the recent years there has been an increasing emphasis on modern control theory at both the UG and the PG levels.

This text book has endeavored to give theoretical aspects and the applications of control systems covering a very wide range from the different types of control system to the design of various controllers. In this book I discuss about the various processes, different types of controllers, tuning of controllers, multi-loop control, final control elements with good amount of examples in accordance with the syllabus of B.E Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and Instrumentation and Control Engineering ofAl Anna Universities.
