About Book:

          Since the publication of the first edition in 1994, the authors had been receiving suggestion from their fellow teachers to improve the content of the book. Also, all the Universities in India have revised the syllabus for the Basic Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering course. This edition of the book has been thoroughly revised to cater to the needs of both students and teachers.

         In PART-1, Electrical Engineering, Chapter 1 includes solution of circuits by nodal analysis method and star delta conversion of resistive networks. Chapter 5 includes three phase connections, analysis and power measurement by two-wattmeter method. Chapter 6 on Electrical machines has been made comprehensive by including all the descriptive information on characteristics of D.C generators and motors, starting and speed control of D.C motors constructional details and working of alternator, synchronous motor and single-phase induction motors. A new chapter has been included on Transmission and Distribution of Electrical Power.
